Titan accelerator + Vista 64, how to get surround sound working?

NO matter what I do, The audio always seems to be mixed up. Both front and rear coming out the front/rear speakers, sub not working but centre working etc... is there something im doing wrong, is there someting else I need to do? I am using the 3 audio leads with a z-5500. Even if i got another sound card the optical and co axial ports are used by my 360 and sky hd box.

Ah the joys of 5.1 in Vista. I also have the Z5500 system and although i can have 5.1 working in movies it refuses to play ball in games. I believe it's a Vista thing, yet to be fixed.

I would be happy enough for it to work properly in movies mate, Most of my gaming is done on the 360 even though this new machine is a beast

Soooo..... how do I fix it?? If I got another sound card would that work?

Ugh, I just realised. One of my audio leads is mono!!!

rear and centre/sub now working. Just need to pick up another lead then ill have the front two working
