Hey gang :D

Im really impressed with the spec of the OcUK Titan Edge Wolfdale system:

Id like to get one with the E8600 processor & HD4870 card. I have a question though. This quote is from a buyer who posted a review on the system (see "Reviews" tab on the link above):

The only negative is that the graphics card (I went for the ATI 4870 X2 2048MB) is so big that it covers 2 of the SATA ports completely and about half of the middle 2. You are still able to plug devices in to the middle pair however the graphics card pushes against them which I'm pretty sure is not good for the mobo. So if you want to run more than two SATA devices (who wouldn't) you'll need to buy a SATA controller card and hope that you don't need the PCI slot for anything else.

I know I will be adding HDs to this if I get it and I have two questions:

1. If I get this rig I will only get 1 X HD4870 - will that cover up SATA ports as well  and also I dont want a PCI slot gobbled up by a controller card :(
2. Does the "default" Antec 300 case provide good airflow/cooling for a big card like the 4870 and a overclocked E8600.

Ok Im sure it does otherwise OcUk would not offer it ;) but I guess what I mean is will I get significantly better cooling if I get the Antec 900? Id like the components to stay nice an' cool because ohhhhhhhh brother Im gonna be hammering FSX on this system as full-bore as I can run it :D

Thanks!!

A single 4870 is shorter than a 4870X2; 242mm as opposed to 278mm.

The Antec 300 is a great case with good cooling, but it depends if you want that little bit extra....also remember that the 900 comes with a side panel window which might be a bonus too.

Oh yeah I just noticed that actually - hmmm.....good bling factor there. Should impress even the non-tech GF. Thanks for your reply on the HD4870 single card :)
