This is concerning the titan fenrir Im not 100% sure if i have stuck the fan in the right place as atm it seems to be blowing down on my gcard but im not 100% sure its why i have come here for help afterall i did buy the bundle from oc. as they say if your not sure ask.

System specs:
6gig ddr3 ram
I7 core 930 overclocked to 3.2ghz
9600gt(going to be replaced soon)
Case: Antec 1200

Heres a picture so you can see for yourself as its little worrying as im not sure and due to that i dont leave my pc on when i go to bed being afraid it will cook my gcard or something silly.

hope this helps

btw, what kind of load and idle temperatures are you getting?

Hi

thanks for the speedy reply my temps for idle are around 20 to 40c never goes above that. While under load i tested this under prime 95 i get around 60c to 70c but has not gone above those temps so far. Hopefully titan will be ok for a day the current way it is as ill have to remove the heatsink and turn it around meaning ill have to remove the motherboard^^ hopefully for a day it should be ok untill i get round to changing the motherboard around. It may even be ok like this are there any disadvadges to having it the way it is atm? Also ill have to remove the thermal paste but i havnt got anything to remove it with...umm really dont know what to remove it with as im sure ill have remove the thermal paste to change it around pc was only built yesterday so it shouldnt be to hard to get the thermal paste off...

Cheers

Well maybe i shouldnt have done this but. I asked a friend via xfire if its ok to detatch the Titan fenrir (as it was only built yesterday) Then Move it to the correct place He said it should be ok if the paste is still gooey Which he was sure it would be if it was only built yesterday so i went ahead and detached it moved it around and put it back int he correct place. was careful when removing the fenrir not to get thermal paste everywhere then i stuck it in the correct place. Watching temps now and it all seems ok. Hasnt gotten hot so far its staying below 35c idleing that is.

Hopefully i havnt made a grave mistake in doing what i just done>_< I did go into the bios and set the fan for the fenrir to a higher rpm.

This is what real temp is showing while prime 95 is running. Its been running for about an hour now.

Not sure if thats a little to hot for it to be running at. usally my pc will not be under such a heavy load gaming etc

Thanks

I think 73 is too hot for a 930 at just over 3ghz i would expect this for 3.5ghz and about 79-80 for 4ghz. then again no idea what your vcore is set at.
