All the drivers will be installed during the win 7 install - the only driver that you may want to update is the video driver.

Make the CD/DVD drive the first bootable device insert the win 7 DVD and then just follow the on screen prompts...
 
Im no OCing expert but Im not sure how much more you will get out of that. Its a pretty good clock as it is.

As regards to installing the OS, like Plece said, go into the BIOS and set the CD/DVD as the first boot option, put the DVD in and follow the instructions.

Pretty much all the drivers will be installed on installation or after a Windows Update once it's installed. Its always a good idea to get the latest graphics drivers off ATI or nVidia though, especially if you are planning on gaming.
 
If you have purchased the system without an OS all you will have to do is load up the pc and when prompted insert your windows disk and hit enter. Thats all you have to do. :)

With regards to the overclock the system is tested for stability and reliability at the overclock we provide, we do not warranty or support any further tweaking past either the stock settings or our overclock. To be fair 3.40GHz is a very respectable overclock and above i7 975 Extreme levels on a system that costs similar to the CPU on its own.

If we provide an overclock to 3.40GHz and then you clock it to 4.00GHz we will not guarantee or support your 4.00GHz.

We will only cover the factory overclock we provide. On the Goliath we guarantee the 3.40GHz.

I think Yewen is stating that they will only guarantee thier clock settings of 3.4GHz - or a stock/default setup.

If the user either tries to raise or *lower* the clock then OcUK will not guarantee or support the running and maintaining of that clock as the settings will not have been tried and tested by themselves. This is perfectly valid/understanable as even if the user were to underclock the rig they could input unsuitable settings and create an unstable rig - and at no fault of OcUK.

Basically, if you alter the clock above that of 3.4GHz or default settings then your warranty and assistance will understandably be compromised.

There's probably no point though in pushing it any further though if it voids warranty.

One more thing, how will this compare with my P4 3Ghz :confused:

That's a completely different issue - but there is every chance that your CPU and MB combo could push 3.8GHz+ (with the right tweaking).

Yewen was just giving you a friendly heads up that the new clock would not to be supported by their warranty - for reasons explained above.

I would stick with the 3.4GHz for a while and research clocking the 920 on the UD3 and start having a play near the end of your warranty when your more confident in your abilities and your system.

Won't consider overclocking until after the warrenty ends. I think I'm going to be blown away by the speed as it is.

I suspect you will - if you're using the system for general apps and gaming then you wouldn't see any real gain in pushing for a higher clock anyway.

You can just sit back and enjoy someone elses labours...

They saying thats no tweaking it passed what overclockers set it to, when it leaves them whatever its clocked to is then the stock settings...what stupid much?
And they dead right in saying if you then up it some more you lose your warranty or everyone will just be cooking there systems and expecting a free one in turn

The mobo with the goliath does 4Ghz easily, but i can't vouch for the cooler as i've had no experience with it. Just see what your temps are at 3.4Ghz and work out how far you can push it from there ;) You'll probably find though that most apps (particularly games) won't perform significantly better going from 3.4Ghz to say 3.8-4.0Ghz so i reckon you'll be just fine sitting at 3.4Ghz and keeping OcUKs support.
