Any ideas on when this is likely to be released? I'm assuming Nvidia follow a pattern in each generation and saw that the original Titan and Titan Black were released on the month of February. Or do they release these cards in reaction to AMD's releases? In which case it could be a good couple of months from now. I ask because I'll go without a GPU for a month or so if its very likely to be released soon.

Obviously no one can say for sure but am looking for informed opinions to make a judgement. I plan to get a 1440p monitor soon and a Titan II should last longer than SLI 980s.

I think they will release it to better what AMD release, I suspect around June-July. I dont know if it was confirmed but there was a picture floating around of it mounted on what looked like a production PCB.

So I think its just sat there waiting to go and they are getting abit of bad press atm so it wont release the whole time the 980 is the best card around.

I know it won't be Q5 :D

If you want to grab a temp card then get a 2nd hand one. If you sell before the week before the release date then you shouldn't make much of a loss.

Most likely is 17/02/15, so 15 days to go.

I am basing this on the fact that the Titan Black launched 18/02/14 and the Titan launched 19/02/13.

NB: Most likely does not mean that it's actually in any way likely to happen, just that it's more likely than any other date.

I like your thinking there. Incredible to think that my Titans are almost 2 years old... Man this 28nm gen is slow :(

GTC next month, expected to be the launch of Quadro GM200. We'll have to see if the yields are good enough to allow a simultaneous launch. With the die size possibly maxed out yet the process incredibly mature it's an interesting conundrum.

I'm gonna guess they'll launch the 980ti 1 month after the launch of the 300 series. Followed shortly thereafter by the new Titan. 4 months later, 1000 series will drop. Pure conjecture :)

Well that's typically how they work. AMD show their hand first, then NV trump it with something.

Very interested to see how things play out in light of recent developments. Whatever they release is going to have to be both an undisputed performance winner, and bombproof hardware wise. The latter point because it's going to be ripped apart under a microscope by everyone. :)

^ It sucks for us all that the market is like that and NV have the monopoly. We're all being held back by AMD (or anyone who can challenge NV), as they will just milk people for all they're worth with their 3.5gb crappy cards :p

Whoah, playing fast and loose with the word 'interesting' there lol. ;)

In all seriousness, I expect they will hold out until AMD play their hand, then try to better it. They've lost a lot of customer favour with the 970 fiasco though... be interesting to see how their next cards are received. The specs will certainly get a very thorough going over!!
