So, I took delivery of my Titan OC Napalm, running Vista 64. Looks good, but I have a few niggling problems

(1) Serial (old style) keyboards don't seem to work with it. I've plugged 3 different ones in, and none of them work. I can't figure out why. I installed the intellitouch drivers for my Microsoft Internet keyboard, yet it still doesn't work.

(2) My case is an Antec 1200. When connected to the front panel sound jacks with a headset, there is an audible crackle. If I mute the sound, the crackle is still there, so I'm assuming it's system noise. How would I go about putting this right? I'm mostly going to be using the headset, no external speakers, so I want to get this crackling sorted.

(3) The boot up time and general response in Vista 64 seems, er, "sluggish". The time to load games etc, seems slower than I would have thought. It also takes a while to boot. A friend suggested that I need to up my RAM from 4gb to 8gb because the 64 bit OS is a memory hog.

Any thoughts?

TIA

I also get that crackle when using the front audio ports, although I have a different case (coolermaster 335) also seems to intensify when I move the mouse.

Hmm, posted on there, with no response.

For now, I've switched to using the back ports, and there's no buzz. Just annoying that the front ones don't work cleanly.

And I've got NO idea why the serial keyboards won't work :(

Not sure about the serial (can only suggest to check you have the keyboard plugged into the keyboard jack and not the mouse)
The audio might be being caused by a loose connection to the motherboard. You could check this out and make sure it connected the correct header as sometimes you will have AC'97 and HDaudio. It might be loose. (get the manual out or contact support if you're wary).
64bit OS isn't necessary "heavier"; it allows you to address more memory than 32bit. I don't know you're specs but more memory might help, but without specs we wouldn't be able to help.

As Ben said Customer support is you're best bet.

I get bad buzzing on my front panel audio. My theory is the EM from the motherboard is affecting the signal in the front panel cable.
