Just started playing this again with some friends. It all started out pretty good and we all met up online regularly and played together. We gained loot and pretty much leveled up at once.
Things were good! Until the group started to be fed items from higher stronger levelled up players.

I now find it very uneven when fighting with the group. As a mage, I enjoyed the spell casting and longer range attacks. But now when we meet a mob its all over before I can cast a spell! I have tried doing some extra grinding (ooeer) to try and catch up with items, but I am making little progress.

So I am requesting some help from some fellow kind overclockers... I need some better kit to keep up!

The only way I can think of duping some better kit easily is too nab someones save game! Is anyone kind enough to email me their save game so that I may loot their character?

If you're playing with any kind of bow using hunter, he's gonna be hard to outkill whatever gear you use.

If you're using storm magic I'd suggest using the Squall tree since you can cast that anywhere on screen that you can see, shift or ctrl click. That should outrange hunters.

I don't have any gear worth giving though sadly.

I know from experience how frustrating it can be when you are in a party with better characters!

The easiest thing for you to "catch up" is going to be to download the TQ Vault and then download some item packs that are available all over the place!

WARNING THOUGH - if you are anything like me, this will completely RUIN the game for you as you will just nab whatever you want and half of the game (the collecting) becomes irrelevant!!!

I'd recommend just levelling up and collecting yourself as opposed to taking anything from other players as it takes away the fun of the game!

Hudzy, thanks for the tips :) Have not used the bow as I have used all my points into intel. Might make a bowman next time!

StevieP, thanks for suggesting TQVault. I will look into this. I do prefer collecting stuff myself as it aids in my enjoyment - Am i going to get something awesome! Making that decision between similar items with different stats!

The risk of ruining it is fairly high as you suggest.

666 pounder makes an interesting observation thou. I do hoover up the yellow items everyone else leaves behind. For the money and the possibilty of picking up something better. Something which my fellow party members no longer worry about as they have full sets of items. In fact they have even asked me to stop doing it so they do not have to wait for me to sell my items and teleport back.

I only see myself continuing playing with the group if I gain comparable (but not OP) items.

I could send you all my vaults from TQVault which will kit you out pretty much perfectly, but that would ruin the game for you, especially if you're someone who likes farming end-game.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do if your group is willing to accept end game items online.

There's also the build you need to consider, my latest character is an Oracle. I started her by maxing Ternion Attack & Squall - aim for this by the time you're 30: http://www.titancalc.com/TitanCalc....16-0-1-0-0-1-0-0-12-0-0-0-3-1-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0. Looking at that build though, you might want to max Obscured Visiblity sooner.

Once Ternion and Squall are maxed she's ridiculously powerful for her level regardless of the items due to the resistance reductions of Obscured Visibility. Kit her out with a harrowing prefixed wand (green item, e.g. "Willow Mystic Staff of Harrowing") and you won't struggle with anything :D

You could always play the hell out of the game, get to legendary and farm the bosses. You'll very quickly become powerful. Legendary can be a pain first time round, but once you learn how to kill the bosses and farm it's very enjoyable.

Here's a good TQ forum to have a browse through for tips, builds and item recommendations: http://www.titanquest.net/tq-forum/forum.php

It is a little pointless picking up yellows, and once you get further in the game you'll tend to leave greens and some purples (if you farm), but if you need/want to pick yellows for the money then go for it, play the game as you enjoy it and don't let a group of people tell you how you should be doing things.

I meant if someone you're partying with is one, then he's probably gonna get most of the kills. What do they play anyway?

I'm playing a ranger with a party every now and then, it's pretty overpowered to the point I find myself letting people have kills. Oracle is very powerful too as Craig says.

Craig321, I played last night for a few hours (7pm until 2am) and enjoyed levelling up and trying to catch up with the party. I changed my lvl 29 character load out to match the oracle spec above. I had already chosen Spirit, but not chosen my second skillset. I have now chosen storm.

We are all still playing normal and are currently early lvl 30's to early 40's. I am the one holding everyone up as I have only just left Egypt!

Had a quick play today and a member of the party was playing with purple epic items. I have decided to download tqvault and play with items. I am currently lvl 35 and yet to play again with my some new items I have passed over. Its difficult to find vaults freely available. Only found one load, and have not found a complete set yet.

May I ask for a copy of your vault Craig. I will not distribute without your consent.

Hudzy,
There is currently a mix of mages and duel wielding warriors. I think we have one hunter with a bow. I seem to be lagging behind with XP, so hopefully new items and skill point loadout (oracle) will bring me on a par!

Thank you all for direction :)

Sounds like the party you were playing with are pretty far ahead, and have accepted purples from other people, or farmed them using other characters if they've completed the game before.

A combo of Squall + Ternion Attack + Obscured Visibility + A staff of Harrowing should blast you through the game. All easily obtainable at a low level
