I noticed that the steam client to this had been continually getting small updates over the past few days and I wondered why with such an old game.

And here we are....out of nowhere a new DLC expansion! (instant purchase)

Seems like the prerequisite is the Anniversary edition which was a free upgrade if I remember correctly if you owned Immortal Throne.

Loved the original, and pumped a load of hours into it before it went onto Steam.

Ehm, what?????
An expansion after 10 years to the greatest aRPG of all time? Am I dreaming?

<log faster steam......>

I have owned TQ for years but failed to really get into it. Might give it an install now and see how I get on before I buy this new expansion.

Well I must have been blind as a bat as my father even has it on steam and said he paid no more than a fiver! Ha

Also it’s £3.50 now.... bought!

Had a quick search, but couldn't find the answer to what I'm wondering about:

The promotional blurb mentions the level cap being raised to 85.

Anyone know what level the expansion content is set to? Do you get to auto-level a new character or have to play through the original content again to get to a suitable level?

Well the original Titan Quest is one of my most played games of all time so I decided to go for it while it was 25% off! (yes I know it will probably be loads cheaper in the Xmas sale but what the hell!)

First impressions - great nostalgia but had no idea where to even start to be honest!

It seems to want to start you around level 40 - although I had no idea of this, loaded my "new" character and wandered out into the wilderness - only for 2 blackbirds to own me within 7 to 9 seconds!!! :eek:

So I decided to do a bit of research and found I had around 60 skill points and bunch of money to spend - and spend it I did....and it's still not easy!!!

There is a new class - although I've no idea how good it is because I've decided to play through the original again so I can crack on with the expansion with my own levelled character! (unfortunately my previous saves have always been "local" rather than cloud based so I've got nothing to even build on!)
