Hundreds of pirates complaining about crashes in certain areas on release wasn't good for business.
Both using legit copies with original cd keys. Patched to 1.30.

The ability to respec alone makes TQ a much more appealing game to me, not to mention you can use TQDefiler to change your masteries though that is cheating 
It's a shame they didn't have a proper online setup with server side characters to stop people cheating.

It's a great game while it lasts but I never found myself wanting to play it over and over in the same way as with Diablo 2. Don't make a Corsair (Defense+Rogue) if you want anything resembling exciting gameplay, although it is certainly a hugely effective class.
TQ+IM were OK through once, but not again. D2's gameplay far outshines it (I couldnt count how many characters I've run through the 5 acts).
I would argue that there are more class variances in D2 than TQ, TQ has what, 16 classes? that have very little variance. Where as there are probably 4/5 ways, at least, of speccing each of the 7 D2 classes, that leads to completely different game play.

I don’t agree as there is just as much if not more variance per class. Each class has different skill paths to go up like D2 only as you can take two class’s you have more variants. As for little variance I don’t know how you can say that. The Dream class for example is nothing like nature.
