Titan reciprocating saw, anyone got one?

Yes I've got one, haven't used it much but was OK at cutting up big bits of hedge. (I need to get round to cutting up old units!). I'm a bit concerned about the amount of kick back so might go back to good old fashion saw if it doesn't work.

As per reviews I think the blade supplied with it is a bit naff and should buy a replacement pack when you get it.

Yeah got one as well

It does indeed kick a bit, but no biggie once you realise it could happen at any time

Its certainly not a precision tool, but ive done a few jobs with it, cutting some very thick (like half inch) cardboard to get into the wheelie and some tree roots etc and its pretty good for the "rough work"

Yes I have one and love it.

So far it's removed a partition wall, helped get up chipboard flooring and cut up worktops.

Go on Amazon and get the saxter blade set. If you're cutting loads of wood get the bosche blades, expensive but good.

I bought for house renovation and has made life significantly easier.

Recipricating saws will all kick back and vibrate I think. They're rough work tools for all sorts of stuff. Get a decent variety of blades with them and realise that the blades are basically disposable like knife blades and jobs a goodun. :p
