Not a good enough description fella! No motherboard info, we all like to know which one of those we are getting :)

It might be cheap however anyone buying without much computer know-how who picks the standard GT 430 graphics card might be disappointed. :p

The board we use it the Triceratop is the MSI P67A-C45, the reason we don't list the motherboard is that the board used can change weekly if not daily depending on stock availability.

yet our test system which has a 430 runs Dirt3 amongst other games @1680X1050 using some high settings quite well.

sure its not the best, but its a budget card.

If the gpu doesn't appear in your options list can a friend ring up and change it? Also how about a cheeky upgrade to the motherboard if requested?

that's not good since we all want to know what are we buying.
well, of course, those who don't even know what a motherboard is won't be bothered. :)

+1 That's very true! If the board is out of stock & replaced different board, what ocuk need to do is updated on the spec details, it only take a minute to do this!

The board is a poor choice given this is being pitched at a gaming system. No option for crossfire or sli is a let down.

£1 retail difference gets you the gigabyte board with crossfire support, £10 difference gets you the msi board with sli / crossfire support.

If you took that out of your build profit it'd be a cracking system.

Your 430 runs dirt at high at 1680?

thats not what i said. :)

using some high settings

the game is perfectly playable. its not going to run crysis or anything mental but dirt3 is hardly the most demanding game ever.
other games we tried at that resolution include COD and BFBC2. bad company needs a lot of grunt but it is playable at lower settings.
still looks better and plays smoother than a console version of the game, even on the budget card.
most gamers will opt for the 460 GTX at a mere £50 more for loads more performance and gaming capability.

unsurprising post is unsurprising.

the system is a budget system. and the prices you are quoting are website retail prices and not system integration prices. if you are looking to upgrade to SLI/crossfire and want advanced fratures then this may not be the system for you. one of our more advanced systems would suit the bill better. :)

Can be done just a quick call to our sales line and you can customise any system or use our online configurator.

Retail prices do not reflect cost prices. Remember this system is our lower end Sandybridge system so aiming for a single GPU, 2500K setup. We have the titan Spinosaur and Ultima mosasaur etc for higher spec sandubridge builds.

Again I will mention our configurator as you can spec up anything you like on there!

Fair points Nath, but for £1 more retail which is obviously a lot less if anything at cost price to yourselves you are selling a system which someone COULD if they wanted to - add a second ATI card to assuming they specified an ati option.

Ten pounds retail cost which again to you guys probably translates to around £3 cost price gives them the SLI option.

You are plugging it as a gaming system, and as such I feel you should be offering your customers upgrade paths of their own, instead of them having to buy a far more expensive starting point by choosing a different system.

Its a good pc don't get me wrong, but I think you could do a lot better on the motherboard, for a few extra quid starting price.
