I was wondering if anyone has upgraded from HD7970 X-fire to Titan X?
I have just pulled the trigger on a titan X so the trusty old 7970's are coming out, I am keen to get the opinion of someone who has gone down this upgrade path.

I think your just trying to justify your purchase ? Having seen one of these in action I can gauruntee you will not be dissapointed :D ... beast of a card !

Surely it would make more sense to gauge the performance boost prior to buying?
The TX is a fair chunk faster than CF7970s, it's not far behind SLI780s, when overclocked it storms past them. That's before taking drivers into consideration - which as of late both parties have been lacking*

*(AMD more, booo!!!)

R9-290 Xfire to Titan X here ... Let's just say you won't have buyers remorse :)

Those benches are stock. OCed the Titan X pulls another 15-20% performance.

Was torn between the 295x2 and Titan X but going back to a single card appealed, even though the 295X2 is a lot cheaper.

the 295X2 is starting to run out of RAM otherwise at that price it would've been perfect.

the Titan X is the perfect single card solution, it only has one fault............price!
