"Titan Viper" Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz DDR3 System - Temperatures High?

Sorry for the hijack, but did you resolve this in the end? I'm having the same problem (along with a little instability)

90 plus degrees under high end air cooling will almost always be a bad mount. The advice given to the OP remains valid for you, remount the cooler.

Well I think you were right; opened the case for the first time and the cooler looks nearer 45% than straight.

45 angle???

If this is while it is still attached to the motherboard then it seems as if it has been damaged in transit!

Depending on what you are comfortable doing, we could get the old cooler back and send out a brand new one in its box for you so that the whole system does not have to go through 2 more journeys.

Send in a webnote or call our system support line (0871 200 5054) and we will be more than happy to resolve your issue as easily and quickly as possible! :)

I've already opened a thread on the support forum as I figured the phone lines would be closed ;), I've included some pictures; it looks like the heatsink is only being held where it is by a stick of ram as well as everything else.

Installing heatsinks/cpu fans scare me! I've always bribed someone else with beer to do it for me :D

No, always afterwards :D, and after its working so they have motivation to make sure it does :D

Looks like I'm missing my WoW raid on Friday :(

For anyone interested :http://s294.photobucket.com/albums/mm103/kalzana/PC/?action=view&current=P1744_24-03-10.jpg

Oh dear, that is quite obviously not meant to be at that angle.

Your customer support forum post should be answered tomorrow and if those pics are in there then I have no doubt we will either get the PC back to replace to cooler or send another one out to you depending on your preference.

It is always upsetting to see our hard work and effort get damaged like this but hopefully this should get sorted nice and easy and you will be with a fully functioning system soon enough!
