Who's got the kind of money to be able to throw £900 at a GPU? I certainly don't and if prices on GPUs go up I'll (like many others) just opt for a next-gen console when they come out.

IMO, a top of the range GPU should be between £300-£350 and the step down from that should be no more than £250 at most.

If NVIDIA can get away with pricing this like that now, what's going to stop them doing the same in a few years? Yes it may not effect their "regular" flagship prices of a 680 or equivalent, but at any given time NVIDIA know they can slap a silly price on their double dip epic card and it will sell out. Just because.
