So Ive felt my 780 has been running ok for me but with a few good games coming I want a new card. Basically,is a titan x a waste for me if Ill never sli it? I only ask as surely it will run out of grunt before using 12gb of vram wont it? Im at 1400p now but plan on picking up a 4k monitor soonish

If your going 4k its the best single card solution out. But yes it will run out of grunt way before you hit the 12gb vram. But if u quad sli them then 12gb is probably about right.

You've had the 780 long enough seemingly, so just wait a month or so until the end of June. We are supposed to see a couple new high end cards very soon. Your wallet will be happier for it with a 980 Ti which is more in line as a natural upgraded from the 780.

I do mate. I really do but for me it would be a waste as I will never sli them so that 12gb would never get used. will the 980ti still have 4gb do you think?

Get a X you know you want to :D

One card to rule them all !!!

If i was you id wait atleast another 3 months before you do, maybe the 980ti will be out by then and it might have 6-8gb of vram

then you can compare the two and buy one, it might have the same horsepower as a titan x but less vram which you may make use of at a lower price point, or you might be able to sli them for around 1000
