Hi there, i'm new to OC & just recently aquired a Belkin N52TE from you guys, thankyou :)
Right i'm thinkin of buying a system like this, or even this one ;) I'm pretty lost when it comes to SSD?? solid State Drive. What does it do? is it just another drive you can use for your Win7 os? then use your other drive in this case the Barracuda 7200.12 500BB SATA-II 16MB Cache for the programes and stuff? Sorry but i aint that clued up on em.
Will my os be installed on the SSD if i ask OC to do that for me?
I want a machine for gaming "The Cod Series, BFBC2 etc" I dont really wanna spend a £1000 on it, but it seems im gonna have to with the SSD and the OS inc. Any ideas guys?
Oh and is there any other systems coming out soon?
Thankyou in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

the xenomorph is a very capable system.

what size is the monitor you use?

for 20" [1600x900] or below i would choose the 5770 graphics card
for 22" [1680X1050] i would choose the 5830/5850
for 24"+ [1920X1080] i would go with the 5870

obviously the better the card the better your FPS in games will be

either of the Solid State drives would be great, choose the size that suits you
an SSD creates rapid boot up times and requires minimal seek times

in short it makes windows very snappy and all of your apps will load a lot quicker.

i am nearly always first into game servers with my SSD and consider it my best hardware purchase for 5 years.

it might be best if you are on a budget to go for a small SSD and use it for WIN7 and maybe your favourite game and apps. you also have a substantial mechanical drive for all of your data.

if you require anything specific then our sales team can guide you through it. just give them a call :)

the most popular combination at the moment seems to be the 80GB intel solid state drive and the 5830 graphics card. this comes in at £879 then just choose the OS that fits the bill

rjkoneill.. thanx for the welcome :)
I'll be getting the Benq 24" i only got a crappy 17 flat at mo but it does the job.
I'll call em and see what they can do, cheers n beers :D
