Why??

Does this happen to you when you install an update? The update is tiny, but for some reason it feels the need to verify the entire game every time..

Can take 20/30 mins...

I mean really?

Mine takes a few minutes, but I have 1.5mbps interwebz and a 7200rpm HDD. I then have to wait for it to pause the main patch and fiddle with the audio, before finishing the first one.
I don't really play it any more, though, so I'll just uninstall it anyway.

Mine was pretty quick about a minute and my HDD is 5400rpm (SATA III)

Judging by how long it took to find players last night I dont think many people are playing this anymore.

I think thats why I have been doing so well in games lately as most of the team is bots. When i started playing in a Titan it would get destroyed pretty quick now once I get a Titan I can last the whole game.

Do you even SSD bro?

I don't even notice it but then again I'm using an SSD.

Yup today's update took about 20mins..

Titanfall is installed on a 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, my main drive is Samsung Pro 840 128GB..

No idea why it takes so long?

Wow that first SSD has mental speeds.... I didn't even think that was possible, what controller is that on?

Somehow I don't believe those results, given they are over 10 times faster than the SATA3 specification... Not to mention drive specs.

I thought the maximum was 6Gbit/sec so theoretically 768MB/sec?

When I saw those I was wondering if I'd suddenly missed out on some massive new leap in technology and wanted to know where I could get some of the action!!! :D

It's Samsung Magician software, it's quite awesome does some kind of allocation to system ram. So if like me ya'll got a lot of ram it will turbo the shiznit out of your speeds.. Only works on one SSD in your system regardless of how many you have. I chose System OS to boost because it's used the most. It does fly, it has to be said.

Maybe I should have installed Titanfall on this drive !!

I'm putting this down to some weird system anomaly, all my other updates work fine. Titanfall checks through the entire 50GB install every time I update, oh well it is what it is...
