Yup.
I now have separate boot USB SSDs for my gaming environment and my home/desktop environment, with no shared drives and all BitLocked to ensure no cross contamination.

It was the rootkit nature of the anticheat protection for Helldivers2 and DeltaForce, amongst others, that persuaded me to go down this road, but it protects against this sort of thing, too.
