Core Temp is giving my friend a Tj. Max of 85 on his E6400.

Was just wondering whether he has to add or subtract 15C from his temperatures?

Tj. is 15C higher than the on die temp BUT. The readings given in coretemp is the core temperatures (i.e on die core 0 and core 1) not the tjunction. The readings it gives are the the core temps not the t junction temps and these are accurate and don't need anything adding or subtracting.

This is a great guide that can explain it better than me www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/221745-11-core-quad-temperature-guide

Hope that helps
