Just wondering which people prefer and why? The 9 probably has marginally better cooling but the 3 has smoother lines and harks back to the legendary ATCS 110.

The tj09 has 120mm fans all around, where the tj03 uses the old fashion x2 80mm rear case fans and 80mm top fan...
Plus the TJ09 has better built quailty (aluminum thickness 5mm/2mm vs 1.5mm)

So the TJ09 would be my fav out of these two cases by a long way...

TJ03
Material Aluminum front panel/door, 1.5mm aluminum body
Cooling System Front 120mm intake fan, 2200rpm, 21dBA
Rear 2 x 80mm exhaust fans, 2050rpm, 21dBA
Top 80mm exhaust fan, 2050rpm, 21dBA

TJ09
Material 5.0mm aluminum front panel, 2.0mm aluminum body
Top 2 x 120mm fan slots
Rear 1 x 120mm exhaust fan, 1200rpm, 21dBA
Mid-section 1 x 120mm intake fan, 1200rpm, 21dBA

(I myself brought a TJ07 because i wanted a good case for watercooling and i love the curved look )

I have an 03, and I'm happy with it, but from what I hear the 09 is the better of the two.

I just finished building my PC with the TJ-09 on Monday:

It's a really nice case!

(You can have up to 5 120cm fans and with 5 all running at 1000rpm with fan controller it's fairly quiet and very cool inside)

Thanks for the pic, Philio! Your case looks great and I'm really tempted right now to get the TJ09. I think the only thing holding me back is I've grown attached to my Coolermaster ATC201 case which I'm still quite happy with. I'm also running out of space to store all my spare PC parts!

Ha! Got one of those as well. The "Black Widow" version to be precise.

Very nice. Is your radiator mounted at the top or verticaly in the mid section? And with all those fans in there what's the noise like? Could you post a few more pics showing inside shots of the pump/radiator please?

Mounting the radiator was a bitch, firstly I took the grill off the top and drilled a couple of holes through the piece of aluminium that goes across in the middle, but the radiator was a bit wobbly with just 2 screws holding it. In the end I put the grill back on and just put the screws through the grill! It's nice and secure and doesn't look untidy from the outside. I don't think you would be able to mount a radiator in the middle, there isn't room. The 8800 card is massive though, with a smaller one it might be possible.

I have 5x120cm fans running, the 2 case fans and the one between the hard drive are set to 1000 rpm and are really quiet. The fans on the radiator are controlled by the water temperature and for normal use are running at around 1000-1200 rpm (played with the settings on the fan controller till I had it working like this). To me it is really quiet, I had a coolermaster case with 3x80mm fans in before and that was a lot louder! The raptors with heavy access and the DVD drive when its spun up make a lot more noise.

I've just moved everything in my aparment around and the base unit isn't in the best place to take photos so will add some later tonight :)

Philio, what power supply do you have in that rig? Those flat cables look nice. :p

It's a Corsair 620W :) The Corsair and the EVGA mobo come with tidy all-black leads which is nice.

How is the TJ09B-W on the cooling front, then? Looks like i'm either getting that or the Stacker 830 Evolution (Silver). Are there any other cases which provide better air cooling?

Very nice! Is that corsair xms2 ram you have. I didn't know it had LED's on it/

Incidently if you want to quiet your rapters scythe make HD boxes that fit in the cd rom section.
