Hi! I'm designing the mods for the TJ07 I have finally bought and am a little stuck. The main elements are the lighting, case colour, fan colour, grill colour and braid colour. The whole front/top/bottom section is going to be glossy red, the braiding will be red and the case itself will remain bare metal. So the question is, what colour lighting, fans and fan grills do I use?

Do you mean glossy red on the outside and bare metal on the inside?

If you're not going to be painting the inside, I found that black, white and red look good on bare metal. White to complement the metallic colours inside the case. Not so sure this would look good in contrast to the bright red of the outside though.

I reckon having the inside of the case powder coated black would make things a lot easier :p.

Powdercoating black would cost me too much I'm afraid, otherwise I would have got your x900b! In that case, I will have bare metal grills (maybe black), white lighting with red painted fans and red braiding. Only problem is that my motherboard is blue! Considering selling it.

I want to create a fairly light and cheerful effect. I find that red lighting creates a horrible heavy lighting that stops you seeing inside properly. I think clear white lighting and a shiny metal interior should create a nice effect, and I'll leave it up to the exterior, fans and braid to bring in that red element.

The reason I ask about grills is because I am installing either 1 or 2x 120mm fans on a new solid midplate to get some fresh air onto my GPU and the rest of my system as I am aircooling. Not sure I could fit a 120.2 grill and a PSU in there while retaining a HDD cage though.

Personally, I'm going for glossy white outside, matte black inside, UV green liquid and UV blue cables.

If you put your mind to it, you can achieve many amazing effects wih UV ;)

Powdercoating in two colours costs roughly £80 - have a look at your local ones

Looks like a red and black colour scheme! I am considering doing the internals in some kind of matt gunmetal fray that will look semi metallic but also not too dark like if I painted it black. Opinions?

Will post a project log when I'm done! I like the metallic finish but it seems a little too plain, so adding gunmetal grey should make the interior a little darker while maintaining that metallic effect.

Anyway, case arrives tomorrow and I bought the last Phobya rad grill on OcUK for £2.49- result!

I done my TJ07 with Gold outside and matt black inside, and the lighting will be blue and white, that how i like it with my, so just do it to your own taste Gundog48, that the best way ;););)

Will try post some pics of the case when i get the chance (Project log maybe, just too lazy atm, plus i got 3 other pc to build....), did the powdercoating locally, cost me about £20 for the whole inside of the case, can't say the same about powdercoat the outside in Gold, as it was done with other mods and was more expensive....:)
