Hi Chaps,

I need a new house for my 2010 build, at present i have a Lian-Li PC-201 with some custom bits thrown in, a full pa120.3 rad in the bottom etc.

For my new Build i am thinking of the TJ07 with the side mounted Rads in the base, a PA120.2 and a PA120.3. I am not sure on the loop setups.

I am open to change this case if there is a more suited case,
Specs to go in:

i7 920
Asus Rampage 2
GTX295 (or should i wait for 3xx?)
6GB Corsair Dominator GT PC3-16000C8 2000MHz
Crucial M225 64GB SSD
BeQuiet 1500Watt PSU
300gb Velocity Raptor (Games Drive)
2x 1.5tb WD Greens
Creative X-Fi Music

I am thinking Two loops, PA120.3 for GPU + Chipset and 120.2 for CPU.
Kinda like this one:

I was thinking of following this work log, i like the idea of the two etc, but. will my BeQuiet sit in there?

There is plenty of room in there for a PSU mate.

Like Rich said though, everybody has a TJ07, however the reason for this is simple, they are brilliant for setting up a custom WC loop, and they look good as well.

I've just had mine powder coated, and it looks the biz imo, can't wait to get my system built inside it.

If you do decide to go for one, you should go for a quad and a double instead of the triple and double, there's plenty space for this so it's best to make use of it all!!!

Thanks chaps.

The TJ07, yes every man and his horse may indeed have one but they have them for one reason i suppose. At present i have a Lian-Li PC-201

I have a PA120.3 rad at present also, i was trying to keep new build costs down but hey, a quad rad cant be all that much!

Would i get a tripple in the roof? Would i want to u think i mean?

Thermochills or other?

Love the look of that first TJ07

I'm thinking about trying to get my watercooling loop all inside a case (current my RAD is sitting next to my FT01) and the TJ07 ticks all the boxes, but it is quite common in the upper end PC market.

The corsair 800d looks almost perfect, but i'd need to mod the roof to fit my 120.4 in and they are quickly becoming very popular aswell.

Guess its all for good reason though

you can fit slim triple rads in the roof, however, you need to get the top grill modded to fit it, a double will fit in the space of the stock grill, but you'd need to make some type of bracket to mount it.

I think the thickest you could get up there would be 35 to 40mm at the most.

If you shop around you should be able to find a quad rad pretty cheap, I was extremely lucky to have managed to grab one from here for only £70 which is a steal, I got the XSPC RX480 which is a nice thick rad, and I've got a Feser X-Changer 240 as well.

That's a fair old mess of cables and tubing in that case mate, I would have thought a big case like that would have been good for cable management?

The TJ07 needs some minor mods in order to get decent cable management, a few holes need to be cut in the mobo tray, and another hole can be cut in the midplate behind the mobo tray for routing 8-pin, 24-pin and PCIe cables through.

Nothing a dremel wont sort out though! :D

How you finding that Be Quiet PSU?

I had one for a while, however it failed in the first 6 months, then the one I got sent as my replacement was also faulty.

My Case... I know, its a mess, i have had some issues with the hardware recently so all the neatness went out of the window, as the 201 was my first custom build i put it down to experience i suppose and i just wanted it up and running so i didn't spend as much time on the management as i would have liked.

BeQuiet - Cant fault it to be honest, never skipped a beat, it does get a tad noisy from time to time.

For my TJ07? (if it is that case) i cant make my mind up weather or not a dual loop or a single loop with two rads...? ORRRR... even a single loop with a single quad rad?

I think i would like both rads in the base to be honest.

I'm just going for a single loop in mine using a quad and double.

I will only be cooling a pair of GTX280's and my processor, I'm still undecided as to whether I want to splash out on a set of motherboard blocks yet.

Regarding the PSU, mine was fine for the first 6 months, then one day when I went to turn the PC on at the mains, as soon as I pressed the swtich at the wall there was a strange hissing sound coming out of the PSU, this was even before I pressed the power button on the PC, then when I put any load on the system the PSU started whining like a little girl, so I sent it back, recieved a replacement one and it did the exact same thing!!

If there wasn't scratches on my first one I would have sworn they just sent me back the one I returned to them!!!

I now have a HX850 Corsair, and it is so much better.

Ok Ok,
So that's now decided!

TJ07 it is.

Time to work on the loop. and color schemes

Time for a new post?

I like the first TJ07, the 800D would be my choice but as you have said you would need to mod. Or sell your rad maybe and get a 120.3

for some reason, the 800 doesnt really tick the boxes for me :S
i dont know why. I just dont tihnk i like it :(
