Hey guys,

Whats cages are people using in their tj07's?

Im having a tough time locating cfp51b or cfp52b which are the ss cages.

Anyone know of others that fit?

Cheers

I'm looking to use Lian-li Hot swap cages:

that the ex-h34b,

Must be it has 4 bays.

good luck finding one of those, i can find the ex-h33b which has 3 hot plug bays here.

Well its as i feared!! lol

The ex-h33b juts out the front of the case by approx 5mm, im going to mod the screw holes in the case at the weekend so that it will fit flush.

Better than the ex-34b though, that just sit about 9mm out the front with no way of modding it to fit, as the front fan bezel is too wide to slide all the way into the case.

Oh well will get some pics up over the weekend.

Damn! thats my dream blown :( I hope you can fix it up, its a poor show if the TJ is not standard 5.25 bay fitment.

I think I am going to have to resort to using the original 2 removable bays and using Scythe HDD stabalisers to mount them, similiar to the Scythe 4 in 3 hdd stabliser PaulyD suggested.

Hey deadman,

You cant even mod it, if you drill a set of holes futher back in to hold the hdd cage you cant open and unlock the door correctly. So thats a no go as well.

Im just going to live with it sticking out for now :(

You would place the hdd's directly into the stabliser itself and then would screw into the drive bay area. However once screwed in it does stick out a little bit.

I have simply placed mine onto the bottom of the case where it sits quite happy and tucks all the way in.

Shame about the Lian Li though :(

Hey datamonkey, did you have any luck encouraging that ex-h33b back into your case?

I adapted the cover from an ex-33 into the front of my TJ07.

Hey DeadMan,

Afraid not, Its sticking out by about 1cm, it wont fit any further back into the case due to the lock catching on the case. I dont think Lianli used a standard design on it.

I think you could mod it by taking off the 5.25 bay sides and cutting out a section on each side to allow the drive cage to slip back further into the case.

its the same principle as modding the lian-li drive covers, but its a bit extreme.

Hey deadman

I have managed to source a cfp52b will be here tomorrow.

They were not around or in stock any where when i first started this thread.

Cheers
