OK, I've ballsed up! I should have 12 small countersunk screws for the support bars that run along the back of the case and that attach the midplate to the case. However, I only have 2! Could any kind soul provide any data on the screw I need or where to get them, I'm dreading the Silverstone shipping fee right now!

I've tried almost every screw in my enormous box but the head is too deep and the side panel won't fit.

Measure the external diameter of the thread, the pitch of the thread and the length of the threaded portion. If its metric (I would presume it is, dont see UNF much these days) you may get away without measuring the pitch.

Alternatively if you take it to a store that sells bolts etc... take one you have as a sample and they should be able to match it up and supply you with what you need and relatively little cost. Note most the places I deal with (for work) have a min £20 cash sale, this may be different for smaller stores.

That's a really good website, thanks! I'm after some more screws, so I may as well order those there too. What screws would I use for attaching fans to a rad grill? Normal fan screws are self-tapping, so would I need to use a nut and bolt to hold it there?

Are you just attaching just the fans to radiator grille or are you going grille to fan to radiator?

If it's just fans to grille then i would use nuts & bolts.

If you want some screws ASAP, try Modelworld where Notcutts is (assuming you still live in Maidstone), they should have a fair few, though maybe lacking in long M3 countersunk screws. You'll also be able to get an idea of sizing.
