HI All,

It would appear that my Thermalright Ultra 120mm Extreme is too tall for the case. MY backup is to install a Corsair H80. Anyone think that mounting the fan/rad/fan assembly to the 120mm rear mount is an issue?

Many Thanks.

Oh CPU is an i7 3770K

They discuss it over on the TJ08-E owner's club on overclock.net. It looks like you'll be able to fit it in, but only by a few mm. Have you already bought the H80? I'm going to install a single fan all-in-one water cooler like the Kuhler 620 as I don't feel I need the two fan config of the H80.

(Apologies if I'm not allowed to link to them by the way mods, but they don't appear to sell anything so I didn't consider them a competitor).

That is good news. Basically my 3770k hasn't arrived so my measurements are not empirical at the moment. I will follow the link. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. No I have not bought the H80.

The H80 will fit perfectly but you have to make sure that you dont add both fans before fitting. You have to attach the H80 with the back fan into the case first, then install the block and then add the second fan. Otherwise you will not get it in, the reason i know this is i had the TJ08-E and the H80 took me a while to figure it out

I may end up getting an H80 as you can't get 1156 bolt through kits from anyone for the TT Ultra 120. That is annoying as it is such a good cooler. Mine is fully lapped as well. I guess I may have to sell the Ultra and get something else. Thanks everyone

Well it turns out the cooler WILL fit in the case. Only issue now is the supplier had them coming in for the 15th, turns out this is no longer true.

The bolt through kit has arrived. It is pretty decent and fits perfectly. Bit expensive for what it is. 1366 kit is cheaper?? Anyways now my TR Ultra 120 Extreme fit my 3770K. :p
