TLOU on ps4 vs. Ps5

Looking to get the last of us for PlayStation.

What’s the difference between ps4 and ps5? Apart from price obviously, is is the ps4 is a good experience?

Was told that the update for PS5 is available on the PS4 version.

It’s a different release. Part one release is ps5 only.

Edit. I should clarify, part one and remastered are two different releases. Part one is ps5 only. Remastered is ps4.

I'd love to play through again with the PS5 version but I've already bought this game 3 times so I had to draw the line and hopefully it will be on ps+ at some point.

I have the PS4 remastered but last time I looked the PS5 TLOU pt 1 was still silly money.

According to psprices it’s £39 on the store which is the lowest it’s been. I can’t check it myself because I own it.

Nope.. Its still silly money, i have been on the look out for a copy for months.. Its actually more expensive than the PS5 remade version of TLOU2..

Yep, still that price. I don't own it yet, I'm intending to replay both games before the second season of the HBO series comes out so I'll pick it up then and hopefully it'll have dropped a little more by then.

If you have never played the games then i think its worth it. I, however, have purchased and played the original on PS3. the remastered on the PS4 Pro and i just resent paying so much for what is essentially a facelift (Admittedly a good one at that) and some QOL improvements. If i could get for £25 (New or second hand) i will add it to my collection.

As people have mentioned, you should look to returning that and getting the PS5 version if that’s still a possibility. You’ll find it much more enjoyable and ‘current’ in terms of graphical fidelity and performance. It’s a great game. I hope you enjoy it either way! (And Part II!)
