@ this price even if you only play it for a day you would still be quids in over going out anywhere

Once it is redeemed on the US account and downloaded, will it require account switching to be able to play it? Or will it be able to be played from the UK account?

If you have your console set as the primary you'll be able to play it on any account.

you don't even need to stay logged into the US account whilst it's downloading.

Make sure the US account is set as a primary. Start the download then log into your UK account. It will continue to download and will be playable on any account from any region on that console.

By setting that as your primary PS4 for that account means all other accounts can use anything associated with that account.

If you don't set it as primary then only that account can use anything associated with that account.

It's not a very hard or complicated process. Set up a US account once and set it as primary and any games you buy or redeem on that account can be used by any other.
