Hi all

I'm in France at the moment and seem to be able to use data on my phone without having an active euro booster on my account. Now, this is contrary to what all tmobile websites say as they say I must purchase a booster to use the internet (1mb, 20mb or 50mb). They say that only once ive done this will I be allowed to use the internet abroad and that when I use this limit, I must purchase another booster. They say that this is to stop nasty unexpected bills as you have to pay for the allowance before you can use data roaming.

I'm worried because I'm able to use the internet with no booster and that I'm going to be hit with a massive bill. However, according to tmobile this should be impossible?

If you're worried about charges I'd stop using your data and then maybe call them up to see what is going on? Should be free to call them even in France

Don't believe them and stop using the data quickly. It does say on their website that you can't use mobile data without the booster, but you never know.
Get the booster applied but monitor your usage whilst on it, you don't want to be paying any big changes.

Did you get a text when you entered france?

Oh and blackberries cost £1.50/MB up to a maximum of £4 per day.

Just to update this thread (because i hate it when people don't update threads) - T-Mobile gave me a full refund the month after for all the internet i had used outside of the data booster. I didn't have to ask and they just sent me a text message saying sorry. Good service
