Had similar on my lg 24gm77.

Mine was caused by the top of firefox. Only thing that fixed it for me, was to use firefox in full screen mode for a few weeks and it faded away. I'd try to move the start menu and give a few weeks see if it clears. Mine was noticeably better after just a week, but took a few for it to clear the retention completely.

Thanks, It does look the same as what you got not has bad though. I have now let windows hide the taskbar and I just been reading this forum that people let this program run for an hour and it fixed it. I'll leave this running overnight and see if it improve anything.
I never knew TN could burn in like this had I dd I would have taking more care, I just leave my screen on all the time LOL

IPS is meant to be worse for it but I have it on a VA all because Windows after an update stopped turning my screen OFf after 20mins and I never noticed it.

I tried all the coloured backgrounds and set my wallpaper to solid colours and taskbar up top for weeks but the taskbar (not all of it some icons only) image is still there.

I did a google and Dell (mines is not a Dell) say to leave off for up to 72hours and it may be ok but I cannot do without my screen that long and all out of old spares.

Am quite impressed by that software above in the link called MonitorUnburn_WF. The picture isn't showing it very well but it is still there very lightly.
