Hey guys!

I would say i'm someone who enjoys games a lot, been a PS2 player for maybe 3-4 years now, and really enjoy it, but after a friend has been pestering me to get a 360 for quite some time now, i have finally (mentally at least) succumb to the 360, i know gears of war is the pretty hot title out right now, although i seem to be so bad at console fps's, and just worry about the shaping and feel of the 360 pad in comparison to the now 3rd hand of the PS2 pad, nevertheless, i was thinking of picking up a premium package (Instead of a dual core pc setup etc..) along with:

WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 (have it on PS2, but would love it in better res, and with a smoother, cleaner online)
Project Gotham Racing 3 - Loved THE original (Metropolis Street racer on Dreamcast) as well as PGR 1 in my brief stint as an original X-Box owner)
Test Drive Unlimited
Need for Speed Carbon (Reasons similar to WWE SD vs RAW)
Gears of War (Gotta give it a go!)
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (My friend seems to have the urge to shoot me in the back)
Table Tennis? maybe? lol not sure
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, wanted it on PC but never get round to PC gaming anymore :(
Some other games, not sure what would be thought of as good to get? :)

Please, talk me into just shutting my mouth and opening my wallet! ;)

Thanks! (Will only be playing (till i move in with my gf eary next year) on a 15" 4:3 TV or 20" WS Monitor :)

Thanks all!

haha i was the same, in the end i took the plunge and got it with gears of war.

The game is fantastic and worth buying an xbox for alone, its huge amounts of fun online and the way i look at it, the 360 cost me less than my graphics card did :P

If you have a 40+ plasma or lcd you will also be in for an extra treat :P

As the boys said, just go buy it.

And you can't worry about the controller. The 360 controller is arguably the best controller ever released.

Definately go for it. The 360 pad is definately the best pad I've ever used and it makes FPS games on consoles feel somehow 'natural' which I do like.

Well, i did it :)

Picking up tomorrow lunchtime :D

Yay, my persuasive arguments reign supreme! :p

Seriously, I hate ALL shooters on ALL consoles. Every last one. Even all the ones on the 360. Except GoW. Whoever made it was a genious :)

Yep highly recommend getting one!

The Dashboard is amazing and the integration into all the games absolutely flawless, would recommend getting one for that alone to be honest.

The graphics are superb in HD, Gears of War is absolutely amazing, the controllers are perfect, it really is a great console :)

Scroll up, he already did :p

Actually i didn't yet :p Off to get it after bacon sandwiches!

Can't believe i made the worry about 360 pads without even looking at one, i'm telling ya, seeing no black/white buttons on the front made me a happy panda!!

reccomened except make sure you keep the receipt/warranty, i got my first 360 early september, already on my 3rd, keep getting problems with them, firstly it was scratching my discs, secondly it just crashed and wouldnt start up again, and my current one is making very loud and weird noises so im just getting my money back and building a gaming pc.
