ok so im new to mac as i use pc and ive been thinking on buying a mac mini, and looking on apple site it says upgrade to 2gb ram, is this the max it can take cos ive also seen on oc that i can buy 4gb it for mac mini so im abit confused, also *** is the biggest hdd i can fit?

does the windows keyboard work with mac mini's and what difference does it make as pc keyboard has windows button and mac keyboard has apple button or do these both do the same thing ? silly question i know !!!!

1 final question is it really worth the extra £100 to get the extra cpu speed and hdd space? i know it has superdrive to burn dvds but i can see im hardly ever gonna burn dvds anyway!

thanks ali

Yes you should buy it, its great for your first Mac! :P

The Mac Mini has 2 Ram slots but i think it can only address up to 2GB and i cand find anything on google to suggest otherwise.

The Mini takes a laptop drive so the largest laptop drive available is 320gb?

Windows keyboard will work with mac the apple key on my windows keyboard is the "alt" key.

The £100 extra gets you the extra cpu power and an extra 2mb of L2 Cache + the bigger HDD and super drive.

I recently bought a Mac Mini as my first Mac and its very good, i payed the Extra £100 for the slightly faster CPU and bought 2 x 1GB of RAM for it (not fitted yet). I will also be ordering one of the Iomega 500GB Minimax Hard Drive

I bought one recently, which I upgraded to a 2.16 Core Duo and 2GB ram. Its one of the earlier ones so also has the 80GB drive and super drive. Worked great and well and truly got me bitten by the Mac bug. So much so that my mac Pro was delivered this week :)

I'll be flogging the Mini soon as I just need to clear so desk space, but as an intro to the world of Mac its superb.
