I'm in two minds as to whether or not to upgrade my 3060ti FE to a 7900XT and wondered what you chaps thought.

I currently only really play one game, that being Microsoft Flight Sim. The 3060ti doesn't do too badly with my 5800X, but running at 1440p on a 4k TV does require DLSS to be used to get a meaningful frame rate at high settings.
I much prefer TAA over DLSS though as I find DLSS makes text in the flight deck a touch soft. In fact everything is a bit soft compared to TAA but I don't have the oomph for that.

The reason I've specified a 7900XT is after various discounts available to me plus selling the 3060ti, I can get a new Asus model for £362.
My other option is an MSI 4070S for £326, but with the 7900XT being faster in all but ray tracing and me not really wanting to use DLSS, the Radeon seems the better choice.

Pull the trigger at that price or wait for the next gen and continue with the 3060ti?
Cheers.

No one knows when next gen AMD or Nvidia will land or what their potential prices will be, Best guess for Nvidia is October this year and as it's Nvidia prices will likely be even higher.

As for AMD, It's been very quiet but I imagine it will be around the same time with prices being around the same.

So on that front it's up to you, Buy now or wait 6+ months and potentially pay even higher prices... but what I would do now is sell your 5800X and swap in a 5800X3D, That will help quite a bit with MSFS.
