To buy or to wait?

Good morning good people!
Quick question to people in the know, with the impending releases of new tech frm the cpu and gpu manufacturers, would you say its a good time to buy a high end gaming laptop, or should one brace himself and wait for new wave of goodies.
From experience how long will it take for new laptops packing this new heat to emerge from the darkness?

Well yeah, and GPU's from nvidia and AMD are coming as well, hence my question as to how long does it take to get a new releases of laptops following a tech reveal.
ANd is it worth it to wait considering the announcements are coming soon.

I would expect end of Q1 2021 at the earliest for updted GPUs assuming a Q4 2020 release for desktop cards.
