Hi everyone, so as some of you may know I am a little bit tired of my Enthoo Luxe what with the creaky noises and such, however I see no cases that can take it's place as watercooling and the overall layout is brilliant.

Because of this I have been having a look into getting the case powder coated and having actual glass cut to fit on the side pannel and sound dampening/improving the pannel mounting mechanism to reduce noise from the metal/plastic expanding/contracting. Naturally this costs money but I was wondering if my capital would be better spent just buying a newer case such as the Evolv ATX. However my issue with this is there is no guarantee a new case will fit my requirements/be any better than what I already have. :(

So I ask you, which do you think is the better option ? :D

if the mod is less than the cost of the case <£100 then i would go for the mod. a new case equivalent to the luxe will cost you the same or more so...

i did find my luxe made quit a lot of noise. upto 2 hours after it was turned off it would make some movement noises out of nowhere lol.

Are we talking about heat expansion and contraction noise, like my 600T is famous for?

Are you able to tighten any screws around the window? I tightened the screws as much as I could on my 600T and it reduced the noise it makes. Unsure if you can do that on an Enthoo?

The mod's will probably be slightly under the cost of a new case but I'm glad I'm not the only one with these issues as my case after a long gaming session was making noises into the early hours of the morning (Not great when it can be heard from your bed:()

Unfortunatley the windows don't seem to be the issue, instead it is the plastic pannels and dust guards on the front and top that seem to be causing the issues :)

The top dust grill is the only thing that makes a noise on my Luxe it vibrates some of the time, blutacked at pints all around the edge mostly stops it but it is more in the middle of the panel that does it, and it is VERY XXXXXXX annoying. But apart from that irt is a very good case. Nothing is perfect I would mod what you have.

I'm certainly leaning towards modding as I'm more likely to get what I want as I'd be very annoyed investing £100+ for another case that makes the same noise. I like the idea of blu-tack under neath the pannels to help absorb some of the energy from the movement to reduce the creaky noises :)

I is the fans in mine that cause it. They are all rubber mounted as well [stock Phanteks fans] the dust screen needs fixing to the frame in the middle, don't know of a way of doing it without making a mess

Mine doesn't make that much noise due to the fans however they usually don't spin up that often and when they do at a very low RPM. More noise is made by the creaking or by the D5 :)
