To Change or not to change?

Once again insurance acting bat guano insane - although i guess its due to enthusiasts turboing their MX-5s and nut jobs buying WRXs (;):p)

Turbo Jaffa Cake it is then :)

I just can't figure their logic out.

Brentacre told me its because I haven't had any experience in a 4WD drive car, since when has 4WD been easier to put in a ditch than something RWD

Change Insurance companies?

Nobody will touch me on an Impreza for anything near a reasonable price.

Not a single specialist could give me a quote of less than £2000. Comparison sites come back at £1500 with a black box or £1800 without.

So I'll keep the MX5 and happily pay £750 a year to insure it with a turbo and up to 250bhp

How old are you???

I was quoted 1.2K on a WRX this year... :/

Assume you've tried the regular insurers too (Admiral have always given me a decent price even on modified vehicles)? They do seem to attract a massive premium hike for certain people

Love being 30!

Admiral we're the cheapest, funnily enough they wanted twice what I paid for the MX5. What's enough more bonkers is using the reg from my Dads 2005 Widetrack STI the prices are cheaper than the WRX Wagon
