Ok so I have a laptop for about two years now and its beat up quite bad, It had three broken keys on the keyboard, one broken screen hinge (have to use tape to hold it up) a faulty battery (can only hold 40% battery) and a faulty charger. To get this fixed is about 240 euros. Its a lot and I was able to find a budget gaming pc for about 265 euros. Its quite bad but I for one think its better of to get that rather then repairing my laptop for around the same price then getting a 500 euro pc for christmas. I really hope this is the right forum to put this is as I just created my account. thanks all -Conor

P.S Just incase your wondering I did have a post for a "600 pound" pc but have lost a lot of money recently so I gotta go the cheap route :P

might aswell get a new computer buddy, even if you get everything fixed on your old laptop, chances are you will break something else :P

a desktop you wont drop/bash/hit/kill as much and there would be no issue with the battery!

I think you get your laptop fixed up for a fair bit less than 240 euros. Have a look on auction sites, lots second-hand laptop parts for very little.
