Hi Guys,
I'm doing a little mini upgrade on my machine and I'm wondering if I should replace my ram or increase it.
I currently have 16gb corsair dominator platinum 3200mhz 8x2, should I add another 16gb or the same ram, this will cost about £100 or replace it for something like 4000mhz? Maximum I'd want to spend is about £130 to £150. What would give me the best return on the money?

Rest of my specs
I7-8700k
RX 5700xt
Asrock taichi z390

Thanks for the help

Do you actually need 32gb for anything?

Personally I wouldn't bother, even upgrading from 3200mhz to 4000mhz is only likely to give you at best ~5% improvement in certain games.

The best return on money would be to keep hold of the money and use it for an upgrade further down the line (e.g. Ryzen 4xxx series, or new AMD or Nvidia GPU when they are released)

I guess I don't, was thinking it might help some how.

I'll put the money towards a new monitor instead. Thanks for your help

I know of only one game that could benefit from more than 16GB of RAM and that is DCS World (and even then its debatable).
If you don't play DCS World, stick with 16GB.
