To mouse, or not to mouse?

Hi guys
My current diamondback LMB keeps on double clicking when I single click. Is there a way to fix this?

If not

I will have around £40-£50 quid to spend on a new mouse, currently looking at a wired mouse, either the copperhead or the g5. I kinda like the razer mice because of the button layout on them, but I've heard bad things about some of the copperhead.

Peoples thoughts on this?

Are o you on windows xp, if so go into control panel then mouse and then check the double click speed, and also check if its not setup so one click is classed as double click.

It isnt the double click speed, or the singleclick/double click thing, its the mouse, sometimes it wil singleclick when i press the LMB, sometimes it will double click, and this happens on different PC's
