To mouse pad or not?!

Sometimes I find playing FPS (BF3/Crysis2 etc) with no mouse pad I cant shoot where I want to precisely. My desk has a smooth surface (after ive cleaned it) but im thinking of buying a pad to get that little bit extra from my Logitech MX-518.

What do you use, who sells good mouse pads? Or, is there something i can change on my mouse settings? *investigates*

I've been looking at Razer pads on the bay so might take the plunge. Cheers

Edit: there's about 20 different types of Razer at an online shop here. Razer Goliathus/Kabuto/Scarab/Sphex/Ironclad etc
