To partition or to not

I've got a 500gb hdd in my htpc and will finally be installing Vista on there tonight, quick question though. Is it worth partitioning it though? Say 20gb C: Drive and the rest as is, or just use the whole drive under 1 partition. All it's going to be used for is watching media, no gaming/msn and such.
 
I find it's worthwhile, makes it easier to re-install Windows etc. Also makes defragging quicker and more effective because you're only really got Windows and your programs on C:, rather than that plus masses of other stuff.
 
id say make 50gb partition for vista and app then half the remaining into 2 more partitions for all your other needs, its going to be easier for you to manage the whole disk, especially if you would want to reinstall OS etc.
