To PS4 or not...

I was on the fence like you but i got it because i wanted to play Killzone (yes i really enjoy it) and Destiny. Funnily so far i enjoy Killzone more than destiny, maybe because killzone was made for the console while destiny is a cross gen plus i have to share the ps4 with the gf who has plaid more destiny than me! i need another ps4!

Back on topic, if you have the money go for it.
If you game more on the pc and just need the ps4 for the exclusives i think you can wait a bit for them to come, if you had last of us on the ps3 i don't think it is worth it to play again on the ps4. Driveclub is like project gotham it might have great graphics but it wont be GT7 or Forza 5 on the simulation side. And then other games that the pc has, are you willing to play them on your pc (half price most of the times) or on the ps4 which potentially has inferior graphics from a good gaming rig.

I'm a PC gamer, I've had a 360 in my gaming arsenal for years with a HUGE library of games (triple figures) and I turn to it from time to time to get my console fix.

However, it's dated, PC games truly spoil me, for example I bought GTA V and the fps just doesn't cut the mustard for me. Whilst I recognise the amazing feat R* did getting the level of detail they wanted from such an old system. I will wait for PC to play it properly.

Anyway, the 360 has not been used in a good few months, I've been looking at the PS4. This is off the basis of me just ordering a new phone which has the playstation app thing in it (Sony Xperia Z3 Compact). It sparked my question again.

Should I get a PS4? Is it still the leading console? Are we expecting some good exclusive titles? Is it backwards capable?

Convince me :)

Was in the exact same position as yourself mate, bought my PS4 back in July with Infamous and Motogp. Since then ive purchased Last of Us and Destiny and to be honest im loving my foray into console gaming.

I havent had this problem of having the Ps4 sitting unused, mainly because the last console i owned was a Dreamcast.

PC will still be my main gaming platform but ive been very impressed by the PS4 visuals and the games ive mentioned ive put easily as many hours into them as the pc titles ive been playing of late.

If you can afford it i see no reason why not to go for it. If worst case comes and you only use it to supplement your pc gaming then thats all good.

For me my purchase was made because the console offers an ALTERNATIVE to my Pc. They dont have to compete for your time as each will have different types of games more suited to that platform, also im really impaitent and waiting for ports to come to PC does my head in so things like GTA5 ill buy on console first. PC when they hit bargin bin :D
