I currently have a MBP (see sig), which has helped get me through the latter part of uni and have used it for some music production projects which required portability, but all that has now dried up for now and I am considering selling it.

I don't feel like I'm getting the full potential out of it at the moment, so would it be better to sell now and make a loss on it and re-buy later should the need ever arise? (might be a better model out by then?)

It's the heavy depreciation and the expense/need for Applecare, which is putting me off keeping it to be honest. The flip side to that however, is that it's such a great thing to use! even for the most menial of tasks.
