Hi all.
Have a quick question. I’m looking, towards the end of this month, to invest in a few upgrades for my PC. The specs are in my sig.
Basically, I’m looking at upgrading one of my monitors to a XL2411T for the super smooth 144Hz, but to help achieve that, I was thinking about getting a second KFA2 660Ti. What are the opinions on this?
I know people will bring up the bus restrictions of the 660Ti, but @ 1080p, they just don't seem to affect anything. My 660Ti happily sits at 100+ FPS even on BF3 on Ultra, with no AA. I even tried my setup on a 1440p monitor and it was still happy on Ultra at around 70-80FPS.
I’ve seen some reviews saying that SLI 660 Ti’s perform quite a lot better than a 680, which is quite exciting, and even if I sold my 660Ti to buy a 680, it would still be more expensive than the 2 660’s cost me, so that’s out of the question really.
Main question is as above, what do people think about running 2 660 Ti’s in SLI @ 1080p? Also, I have a TX750 (Corsair 750W) PSU at the moment, would that be sufficient for SLI? Bearing in mind when answering that the KFA2 is by far the quietest, and I believe the lowest power consumption of all 660Ti’s.
Opinions welcomed.
