I have just bought a PS3. So i will now be crunching for Team 10 again. Just checking my stats to see when i last crunched, and that was 31/08/07.
Since then, there has been 2 little dumps of 267 points each, so somewhere i have a borg that i have forgetten about :D. Madness.

Even so, i dont know whether it will be left on for 24/7 yet. We shall see.

Anyone know whether or not the F@H WinSMP slient will run on a 24/7 windows home server box?

Welcome back - love the thread title. :)

Ps3 folding is okay. 900ppd if left on 24/7. Power hungry though at 200 watts.

What are the specs of the server?

Yup. Thats the one :)
Excellent. Think ill set it up tonight. I was just wondering of the compatibility of the client with the whs software. I know its not a high powered system, but every little counts.

Heh, got it running easily. Ill see what its like for a couple of days, make sure its crunching properly. Only thing with the PS3 one is that it wont run in the background. Hmpf.

Fahmon is claiming 650PPD for my server.

PS3 + server should hopefully crank out 1500ppd. Not too shabby. :)

The PS3 is a good folder but its not perfect. Before it came out I'd always assumed it ran in the background like the PC client. With having many cores I thought it could easily run on the menu screen, watching a DVD and even while playing some games. Alas this is not the case.

Also, 200watts is a reason for me not to keep it on. Its a bit noisy too when the fans kick in. I'm expecting them to release a much more power efficient version soon so when it arrives I'm going to ring up and tell them my PS3 is broken (its defective) and by some extraordinary stroke of luck they might replace it with a new one. :D

Yeah, im just gonna do one WU per day, leave it on after ive been using it. Good for the occasional bit of folding, but too power hungry to leave on 24/7.
