To update BIOS or not?

is it broke ?

I guess the biggest question is - is it broke? If not, why try and fix it?

Is there something specific in the new BIOS that you need, or are you doing it simply to run the latest version ?

Personally I try to run the latest , but yes, it has cost me in the past too. Lucky it was a cheapie board, had a power failure 1/2 way. I've since invested in a baby UPS just to stop this happening again ...

live on the edge and flash it. triple check everything first tho. can't beat that feeling you get in the guts when the flash is in progress

"if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Unless you plan on using any of the new features in the new bios includes then i personally wouldn't bother.

Never update the BIOS unless you think it will fix an issue you're having. It's dodgy at the best of times.

Ah - but that feeling is nothing compared to when you first switch on your water-cooling. That's a truly nerve-racking experience.
