Hi ladies and gents i currently have the rig in my sig and i'm trying to decide if I should upgrade or not. As well as those specs it's got a ac 7 cooler and I run xp and have a 24inch tft.

I'm thinking of a few ideas sell this system and build a whole new one.

Upgrade the gfx's card and cpu.

upgrade the cpu and motherboard.

get 64bit vista and 4gb of ram then wc it and oc the nuts off the e6600.

I have about £500 to play with without having to sell the current rig but the less spent the better I guess. so which will get me the most bang per buck oh and the system is almost completely used for gaming.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give

Hi thanks for the replies basicly the main question when I think about it is do I need to upgrade yet or what can I upgrade to keep me going untill I7 matures and the prices drop.

Basicly I mostly play games and I have a 24" dell ultra from what I have read the only card which would give me a noticeable difference over the 8800gtx is a 280 or the ati x2.

I am leaning towards getting vista, 4gb of ram and setting up wc to push the oc further then maybe getting a 280 in the new year sometime or whatever they release next if I wait that long .

thanks so vista home pro and 4gb of ram and then a full upgrade later.
any adv for good ram to oc with I know this cpu is a good clocker just needs better cooling.oh and is there any point getting moretham 4gb
