Ok, so whilst the old PC is still performing extremely well, even with the recent release of GTA5, sometimes I'm thinking would it benefit from more memory, a better GPU etc. It's regularly dusted/cleaned so no airflow issues in the Storm Scout case.

Currently it stands at:
850w PSU
I7-920 @ 3.2ghz o/c
6gb ram
EVGA GTX770 2gb
The usual spinning HD & DVD drive.

Thoughts are:
1) 12gb ram, would this plug straight in and be ok with the current overclock?
2) GTX 980 or Titan - Would this be pointless and bottlenecked by the CPU & memory.
3) Leave as is and count my blessings that it runs things faultlessly at the moment?

SSD route might get taken, however.... and this might get classed as a stupid question.. I do like the look of a GTX Titan but how do bottlenecks affect performance & how can you tell if it's bottlenecking?! Does my CPU fully rule out getting one of these cards?

The drives no problem really, plus there's that many SSD's out now with varying reports/reviews on them you end up like you do when looking at gpu's, cpus etc, lost in a sea of technology! Last time I upgraded was a jump from a GTX285 to the 770 & that made a hell of an improvement. Maybe with this system, it is at it's peak/most stable and changing anything would only start the upgrade avalanche to gather far more speed than the wallet can keep up with!
Lets see how long it takes for GTA5 to burn something out then I'll have to upgrade lol
Thanks for your recommendations :)

Shall keep in mind the SSD idea and maybe hold on the GTX970 until the reviews on the 980ti appear. That GPU might be ok with my CPU perhaps... maybe lol
