I may be looking at getting a new GPU soon, I want a new 1 for March for the new games which are coming out, like Crysis 2 and the rest, my 8800GTX isn't holding up anymore and it's upsetting to not be able to max out all these new games.
I'm running an i7 920@4GHZ and I game at 1920x1080.
I'm very partial to Nvidia (Sorry ATI guys, but after the brilliance of the 8800GTX I have no reason to doubt Nvidia cards) also I never run SLI, I only go for single cards generally.
Options are:
Wait until march and see if Nvidia bring out something new/better in my budget
Get 1 of these 480 GTX's for £194.99
Get a 470 GTX for £143.99
Get a 570 GTX for around £300 (It would be this 1, just due to it being so damn nice looking: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-143-GW&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1010)
Get a 560 Ti Gigabyte SoC for £249.99
Stretch my budget to a 580 GTX and get anything, really
Just looking for opinions, I don't really have a max budget, I just want something that will serve me as well as my 8800GTX has done, maxing out games for the next 2-3 years.
570, over lock it to 580 speeds, saved a fortune, job done3gb mem is a waste of time unless your running eyefinity setups.
I would wait if its mainly for future games, there will be new cards at the end of this month which might help lower the existing gpu prices a bit![]()
