Who makes good toasters? I don't want to pay a fortune, so don't want an expensive Dualit, but I want one that toasts reasonably quickly, is nicely controllable, and won't break too soon.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Cheapest Silver one at Tesco. I put Bread and Muffins in and it comes out toasted after the allotted time. It's never let me down and been 100% reliable.

In fact no I did press it down once and I herp derped off to come back to UNTOASTED BREAD, despicable!

Think it was £15

Then get one off eBay for the same money you'd pay for the usual "this.will.break.in.12.months" stuff you'd get from currys.

Dualit last forever and you can replace the elements.

They also look nice :)

Sweet. Didn't know we could do a spec me a toaster. Lol

I find it never hurts to ask the wise members of the forum!!

I thought about the Tefal Toast and Egg at £39.99 , but I probably wouldn't use the egg bit that much so not worth paying the extra and went for the Breville VTT295 2-Slice Toaster £22.99.

Thanks for the input! :D
