Okay not going to plan,

installed gpu and when on AMD site and installed catalyst and drivers.

Colour is all washed out, text is blurry/not sharp and i dont have a full screen. yet it shows as 1920x1080

Help

Are you using HDMI?

I think you need to go into the Catalyst Control Centre and set overscan to 0%.

Right its better, but now the screen doesnt fit :S lol

DVI will be fine as long as you don't want sound over the connection.

Don't you like pink?

Make sure the cable is connected properly.

Try the other DVI connector on the graphics card.

adapter for the dvi cables was loose. Really need to buy an all in one dvi cable tbh.

Can you buy any dvi cable or does it have to be one for gpu's

Could someone link me to one pleasey in shop

Why are using an adapter?

Are you connecting DVI from the GPU to DVI on the monitor with a DVI cable or are you using VGA on the monitor as you mention an adapter?

What connections does your monitor have? Or just what make/model is your monitor?

Monitor has dvi and hdmi.

The cable I have is dvi at one end and the a really tiny one. Like a VGA one I guess. It's blue if that helps. Then an adapter is plugged into it and it makes it into DVI.

I assume the monitor's resolution is only 1920x1080 so you don't need a dual link cable?

Awesome.

The cable I have is dvi at one end and VGA at the other. Then I plug an adapter in to make it DVI at both ends lol.

EDIT - According to monitor is only does 1920x1080 it is a samsung P2470 Syncmaster
